Books I Read in Oct. 2008
November 1, 2008Here’s a list of books I’ve read this past month:
- Anthem by Ayn Rand
- Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
- An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
My favorite this month was Anthem. It was superb and I loved it. I will be posting a review soon!
What books have you read this past month? Which did you like the best? The least? Tell me in the comments!

I am so behind on my reading because I have been grading so many student projects, but the best book I have read in the past month was Living Dead Girl. It was absolutely amazing! I have talked it up to pretty much everyone I know, except my students (at 12 and 13, they are probably not ready for such heavy material). Anyhoo, I have never read any of Elizabeth Scott’s other books (although I own a couple), but she is one I will be watching out for, as her gift for words is simply incredible.
I’m almost done with Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List….
It’s a little jumpy for my liking, but the characters are interesting and provide a much more in depth story line then that of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. I have his other book, How They Met, and that’s next on my list.
I have never even heard of Anthem! I’ll have to check it out!
I read GIRL, HERO by Carrie Jones and a mid-grade novel by a blogging friend, TRACKING DOWN DADDY by Marybeth Kelsey. I liked both of them!
I want to read Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List
I’ve read Madapple, Skinned, Impossible, The Missing Girl, The Juliet Club, Take Me There, I like all of them, but my fav has to be Madapple or Take Me There
Wdebo
I read Anthem last year for school. I thought it was really good.
Shalonda- Wow, Living Dead Girl has been receiving raving reviews, which I expected… but I need to read it with more reason now!
Lisa- You should. I really liked it. I haven’t heard of the two books you mentioned, I’ll watch out for it.
wdebo- Naomi & Ely’s was good. I’ll be posting a review on it soon. I have Take Me There and I’m glad you liked it because I’m reading it soon.
Megan- I thought the same. I just posted a review on it if you’d like to check it out.
